The newest Royal Air Force weapon, a backward-firing Vickers machine gun, it is fitted under the nose of the new Bristol Blenheim Mark IV fighter bomber,
and is designed to protect the tail and cope with any attackers who come up from below, shown January 27, 1941. It is aimed and operated by the navigator
through scales of mirrors.

August 29, 1964. A Canadian Lancaster nearing the end of its peculiar journey on the Detroit River. This Mk.X was purchased that year by the City of Windsor for $1250 to serve as a memorial. Early next year it was installed on a plinth in Jackson Park where it stood for around four decades.

Thank you
