Ahh - thank you. Vickers K guns (also called GO guns) which require you to stop firing and change drums during action. Not the smartest weapon but then again at that stage of the war Browning belts were more trouble than they were worth.
 
I found this one of the shield open in a web search which identifies it as from alanmalcher.com EDIT - from the October 2022 post according to Free Reverse Image Search - Find Similar Images | Pic Detective. Tineye and Image Search - Search by Image to Find Similar Photos Online could not find it.

With some dread, I awaited His Majesty's visit to the U.S. How will this administration handle it? The streets were decorated with American and Australian flags. Fortunately, it was pointed out before the official activities. I avoided most of the coverage.
I saw King Charles's address to Congress. I was very impressed. I was most grateful for Congress's reception of His Majesty's comments. Standing ovations from both sides of the aisle. It was amusing to watch Sock Puppet of the House Johnson applauding and smiling as well. It must've galled trump to see genuine royalty. What must be worse for the Maggots is that they can't take His Majesty off the air.

Margaret 'Mardi' Gething (IWM) from British Homefront during WW2: ATA Pilot Margaret 'Mardi' Gething.
Margaret 'Mardi' Gething was an Australian pilot with the ATA (Air Transport Auxiliary) who ferried military aircraft from British factories to operational RAF airfields throughout the United Kingdom. From 1941 to 1944 she ferried Spitfires, Hurricanes, Tempest, Typhoons, Mustangs, Wellington and Blenheim bombers. She flew 42 different types of aircraft, delivered over 600 aircraft to RAF operational airfields and often flew three different types of aircraft in a day. Margaret 'Mardi' Gething died in Australia in July 2005.

I agree it is probably a Wellington viewing aft towards the Tail gun position.

A Wellington for sure. The caption for the same image at the IWM site states : " A crew member on board a Vickers Wellington of No. 75 (New Zealand) Squadron RAF places night flares in position in the cramped rear fuselage. Note the Elsan chemical lavatory to the right."

Yes, airplane toilets were initially very basic. This situation persisted until 1934 when British airplanes underwent an "improvement." This improvement involved knocking off the bottom of the toilet and connecting it directly to the outside. This meant that when you opened the lid, accompanied by a loud bang, your excrement would land on someone's roof... or even on someone's head.

What is a bullcrap ( especially in the case of the pic ) as the Elsan closet that was a device of a closed circle, incorporating a weighted 'deflector' to tip excrement into a bucket, which contained a formaldehyde-based chemical treatment, was patented in 1924. Although useful during a long missions, the Elsan lavatory was certainly not the place for a relaxed commode-read.

Thank you @Wurger for the further details and clearer copy of the photo.

You are absolutely correct about elsan closets. I have seen many of them, many restored, and they are exactly as described by you. They were still common on DC-3 airliners (and probably others) in to the 60's.

On the Beauforts the elsan was just inside the door and you stood on it as an entry step.

Anna Leska-Daab obtained her glider and balloon pilot licence at the Warsaw Flying Club. After escaping to England through Romania and France she was one of three Polish women serving with the ATA (Air Transport Auxiliary)
She was Stationed at Hatfield and Hamble and ferried a total of 1,295 aircraft including 557 Supermarine Spitfires. She flew 93 types of aircraft, including flying boats, and was airborne for 1,241 hours.
She was the sister of col. pilot Kazimierz Leski, also known as "Bradl", the legendary intelligence officer of the Polish Home Army and wife of Capt. pilot Mieczysław Daab. Anna Leska-Dabb died on 21 January 1988.

Irene Arckless was described as an ordinary working class girl determined to obtain her pilots licence who passed her flying test just before the start of the Second World War. During the war she was a pilot with the Air Transport Auxiliary delivering all types of aircraft from factories to operational RAF airfields throughout England.
On Sunday 3 June 1943 she was flying a twin engine Airspeed Oxford when one of the engines malfunctioned during take off and crashed into a house on the outskirts of Oxford. Arckless was rushed to hospital but pronounced dead on arrival.
27-year-old Irene Arckles is buried at Carlisle, Stanwick Cemetery. Ward 2. Section A. Grave 31. (Commonwealth War graves Commission)

Here's another photo of the underwing gun pods, showing that the gun mounts and covers were the same but the guns have been mounted symmetrically (left and right wing):
