Unfortunately both this model and the PT-3 itself were destroyed in the 1978 fire. As was Franks Spirit of St Louis. From the museums web site San Diego Air & Space Museum - Balboa Park, San Diego. I was lucky enough to visit the original site 6 or 7 times in 72.

Just found this very nice model of a Helenic Airforce Corsair II, which apparently won "Best in show" in a recent international competition in Bulgaria:

Now to the interesting part: there is a figure of a girl refueling the plane. Behind the model one can see a framed photo with (probably) the same girl. After some search (Thank you, Google!) I found the following video:

The a/c, based on the serial, is the same - see serial.
@1:46 you see 2 girls - I bet the one of them (with the yellow earmuffs) was the inspiration for the figure.
