Mr Liu,a friend of mine, had finished a 1/700 Yorktown(1942.5) some time ago.
He was one of the best modeler in my country and always curious about historical facts.
I'm here to collect advice for this model, also to notice those who loved this gallant ship:
Yorktown was remembered and loved by plenty of people. No matter who they are and where they are.

Marcel du Long is a well known what-if modeller. He builds real world objects (planes, automobiles) as well but often with some "what-if" touch. Check his models here.
He was one of those first "pioneers" building racing "cars" out of famous fighters:
