While instructing in 1:1 scale T-6's, my father built a 1:12 scale model. He got pigmented dope from the base shop so the color is absolutely authentic. Powered by an Ohlsson & Rice .23. For auto enthusiasts, the convertible is a Chevy, probably 1951.

This was an amazing build to watch, all that PE and such a steady hand and so much detail. I've put it in my bookmark as I'm sure I'll be watching it a few more times. What I would like to know is what glue he was using as it seemed to set as soon as it came into contact with the second surface.

I suspect it was CA Gel but not sure. I also wish he explained the water materials a bit better. It looked like he used huge bricks of 2 part epoxy putty from Japan. Then there was that stuff he used for the foamy water that I have no idea what it was. I've seen cotton used for this but not sure that's what was done here.
