(Sorry hehehe I'm just too pumped and excited that the Tiffy is going to be on loan here in Ottawa !!!!!! When I saw the pic, it reminded me of that kind of reaction
 
Is it me or did the offending pilot after his brakes failed on his Hunter, once into the toilet block, and noticing his C/O was doing some heavy reading there, and about to do some paperwork, he ejected to escape the sight...

It does rather look like the ejection seat has fired through the roof. If it was occupied, then that would be a fatality. In the hope that it wasn't, and this was an accident without loss of life our injury, then:-
"The Royal Navy have now abandoned plans for substantial, prefabricated crash barriers on their latest carrier, following disappointing trials at RNAS Culdrose".
 
That was my immediate observation, the damage to the roof coming from the inside-out.

Not sure if there was a delay when the pilot tried to get out moments before impacting the building or what, but that seriously could not have gone well for the pilot, at all.
 
Let's hope it was an unoccupied 'runaway', and the seat fired accidentally for whatever reason. That said, there's a lot of fire-fighting foam around, so that hole in the roof might be the result of a fire.
