And the comment on it: I was almost stuporous when one of the girls we employed for after-school work was boasting she could not read an analog watch/clock, nor could she tie shoelaces.
I managed to reply, "Gloating about not being able to do something is not a reason to be proud of yourself."
Her reaction gave me the impression I would have been better off saving my breath.
Some people are proud of their stupidity and the word that covers them (and others) is obliviot which comes from oblivious and idiot.

Today we had a visiting priest at church. He explained he is an itinerate priest for the archdiocese. That means he has no home parish but travels around the archdiocese, covering masses for other priests. In other words, he's a wholly roamin' Catholic.
