It's bad weather in Moscow when Ivan returns home from work and is alarmed to see his wife arguing with Rudolph, the tenement block commissar. It's well known among the residents that arguing with the commissar, a veteran Party member, is not recommended...
He drags her indoors and asks what the argument was about, pointing out the dangers of upsetting a Party official...
"I say it is sleeting and he says it is raining. I'm right and he's wrong, the idiot!" she says.
"Let it go" says Ivan. "It's not worth the risk and - anyway - Rudolph the Red knows rain, dear..."
I know there are some old jokes in this thread but this one is positively neolithic. Then again, do I care? Not a jot!
