I was working on the Railroad (I know, right?). My aunt in Florida, may she rest in peace, received a call that I had been arrested in some country. Money was demanded. As it happens, the RR requires mobile phones and other personal devices be "turned off and off your person". After my shift finished I left the phone in my backpack until I got on my going home train. I had a lot of missed calls on my phone. I got a hold of everyone and the scam was exposed. Fortunately(?), my aunt was profoundly hearing impaired and could not make out the instructions. My cousin found that uproarious.
