Rare WW2 film: SAAF in East and North Africa

John Hewitson was a ww2 fighter pilot flying with No.1 Squadron SAAF. He saw service from 1940 in East Africa and North Africa. He flew Gladiators, Hurricanes and Tomahawks and is the last South African ace still to be around.

Excellent Dominik! Some incredibly rare footage, especially the Gauntlets, Gladiators, Bristol Bombay and Vickers Valentia. It would be great to see it 'cleaned up' and digitally enhanced, as it is remarkable footage which should be preserved for posterity.
