Yep, always like that one.

One thing seems to be incorrect with the decals though unfortunately...stbd side national flags should be reversed, but are printed same as the port side markings.
I will have to cut most of them in half and apply right side to left. That won't correct everything, but better than nothing.

From what I could see in the instructions of the kit, very likely. I have three of these. I can't really see the cannon provided in the kit.
Thanks for the reply!
Check also how the end of the canopy glazing is covered with metal - do they show this in the model instructions?
If no gun is provided, than it's just a repack of a standard A6M5, but it's visible in the box-art though.

The gun they provide is miniscule. I don't like it and was thinking of using something, but from what see, it is tiny. Here is other things I found as like you, I am curious. It most certainly is a rebox as this is something they do all of the time.

I was lucky to find the decals when they were available.

This supposedly shows where a second cannon could be mounted.

The Gekko was a twin-engine night fighter that carried multiple 20 mm Type 99 cannons. In the most common night fighter version, these cannons were mounted to fire upward and sometimes downward at a 30-degree angle, an arrangement known as Schräge Musik.
This was a field conversion of the standard A6M5 fighter, armed with a single, oblique-firing 20mm Type 99 cannon mounted behind the pilot.
This variant was a "higher-powered" Type 99 Model 2 cannon, which had a longer barrel and chamber and a higher muzzle velocity.

Type 99 Model 2: Heavier, fired a more powerful cartridge, and featured a longer barrel, resulting in a higher muzzle velocity.
