Cheers mate. Might get myself the Spit - fancy doing a post-war 609 Sqn MkXVI, clipped wing, in matt 'silver', with black codes. That's after replacing my 'lost' Mk1, MkV, and MkIX, and adding a MkXII, MkXIV, and MkXVIII to the as yet unbuilt (after 15 years!) Mk22 .......
 
Cheers mate, might get it then - been wanting to do a particular JG27 'gunboat' for some time. The old Hobbycraft MkXIV Spit isn't too bad overall, but definitely needs a better canopy. Maybe Airfix will add one to their Spt/Seafire range some day .....
 
Went to the LHS at lunch today top pick up this. This will be Part 2 of my Johnny Red Theme build. She's going to look sweet in all red



I also was given this by the shop owner for free because it had no decals. As far as I can see at first glance it looks like its all there. Even the fully detailed bomb bay. (Could have used that for the Sunshine build I got going on)





SCORE!!!!!

Now here's the cool part. As you might guess being given a kit for free (any kit let alone a kit I'd been looking for) I was ecstatic. When I got to work I took the kit out to take the photos above. Next thing I know I hear a droning in the distance. I look up to see a B-24 flying by with a P-51 escort. HOLY SMOKES!!!!!! I tried to take a photo with my phone but it didn't work out but damn was that cool...
 
Here's a couple questions for all you kit hoarders.

What is the ratio of completed kits, to stash kits?
Do you suspect this stash Will in fact be completed?
And...... when do you think this stash would be completed if this Stashing was ever completed?

Just sayin.
 
I consider myself actually pretty adept at limiting my purchases but I fall off the wagon when I come across something rare or something at a swap that's a good price. I estimate I'm roughly 50/50 at the moment. Unless I get hit by a bus, I should be able to finish off what I have.

I have a SERIOUS problem...
 
Almost echo Jim's post, though in my case:

1) 1 + some in advanced stages of completion / MANY (Earlier builds all given away during moves)
2) No, will need accessories or parts donor kits in future when I have the funds.
3) Never, though purchasing has ceased since january (see #2)
