This finally arrived from Shanghai. I ordered it the same time I ordered the Bearcat

Looking at the box art I'm a little disappointed. You can see that the canopy doesn't fit properly but that's easily fixed.

I think I'm going to try and do the second scheme (yellow one)

Sounds good. Must have been a bit hairy landing one of those on a carrier, from what I've read!

Flew in them many times off the Essex. I'm told landing on a carrier is like a controlled crash.

16 in the stash

Just purchased on eBay the following: Lockheed P-38J, Douglas AD-5, Grumman F3F-2, F6F-3 and TBF, Japanese A6M2-N "Rufe", Curtiss P-40, Seversky P-35, North American T-28D "Trojan", DHC-1 "Chipmunk, Cessna O-1E "Bird Dog", Ju 87b "Stuka" and a Failchild "24".

All are rubber powered balsa/tissue flying models. Looks like I'm set for a couple of years.

When I saw that it was available, I was unable to resist for long, so I just sent to Silver Wings my order for this kit:

i will let you know more when I will receive it.
Cheers

Me too. I've seen the aircraft shown on the box, at the RAF Museum - it's the one which force-landed at Sheerness - or Orford Point, somewhere like that!
