Thanks Andy, and yes, I'm intending to replace my Luftwaffe BoB collection, lost in a house move 20 years ago. I'm considering making the He111, Do17, Bf110 and Ju87 (JU88A-5 already done, from KG30) from units which took part in 'The Hardest Day', 18th August, which really should be 'Battle of Britain day', rather than September 15th.
And when I get current stuff finished, I can continue with the 1/32nd scale Mosquito conversion.
BTW, it's highly unlikely that I'll ever use the Hs129 or Do335 canopies, so if anyone needs/wants them, let me know - first come, first served!

good finds there Terry! The BoB decal sheets looks pretty neat!

Couldn't help myself yesterday....really want to do a couple of the late model Spitty's so now I have one, the other when I find one the Mk22/24....and the D-9 well that sort of jumped into my arms, amazing huh!

Good find there Wayne! Come to think of it, I need to look into getting my Seafire build back on track as well. BTW MK.22/24 shouldn't be that hard to find... and if need be you could always piece one together from the Seafire kit ;) I think it holds all the pieces for the Mk.22/24 plus additional parts for the seafire variant. Decals of the original spitty Mk.22/24 kit are cr*p anyway (way out of register and quite rough earlier airfix quality) so you would want to have those replaced I reckon.

There's a couple of places I know have the kit in it's original issue from around £16 pre-owned (all complete and untouched) to around £22 new; the decals in my 1997 release are in perfect register.

Funny, I have had three in my stash, all '97 releases (one of which has been build in the mean time) and without exception the decals in all three kit were/are utter rubbish

Thanks for your comments guys... will put my hand up for help if I can't score a specific Mk.22/24 locally...and Your right Jelmer, looks like all the stuff is there in the 46'47 kit...didn't know that! :D

The other day I got these two sets of Super Scale decals for P-40E's/Kittyhawks at a good discount from Hannants. With too many cool subjects to not build them (Cresswell's multi-flag noseart mount is a no-brainer though) I figured I needed some more P-40E kits as well. The prospect of having to buy a bunch of Hasegawa P-40E's isn't exactly cool as far the finances go. So as I was searching on EBay for something suitable I came across this guy who sold a good bunch of AMTech P-40E's (incl. replacement fuselages) packaged in lots of three...for $20. So a good bunch of decals and a package deal on some P-40E's. Even in a worst case scenario (customs fee) I still end up with 3 kits shipped in from the USA for the price of two similar kits ordered here in The Netherlands

Nice find Terry, it will be good to see you working on the Mossie again.

And Wayne you'll love that Seafire kit. One thing I know about it is that the angle of the rear frame of the windscreen/forward frame of the canopy is not at enough of an angle. I used the Squadron vac canopy on mine.
