No, you first George, I know how much you enjoy those Hobby Craft kits.Great stuff guys. Got me an Aardvark also Glenn....you first.
Evan, just got some Ventura decals of off of Ebay(I`ll post later). Never used them before, so how are they? Geo
Here's a scan of the instructions. It is quite complicated. I think I might try it and if It doesn't work well enough I can always break the pylons off and glue them on.Glenn, I've built the Revell 1/32nd scale Tornado, and the Airfix 1/48th scale version, both of which had the 'mechanism' for swinging the wings, but not linked to the stores pylons. On the larger scale, the offset arm was fairly substantial, and actually works, if moved gently. However, on the 1/48th scale version, although it works, it's very fragile, with some flexing, and could easily snap, or disengage. I'm guessing it will be a similar arrangement on the F-111.
Unless you really want the wings to 'swing' in unison, I think it would be better to omit the 'mechanism', leaving the pivots in place, which would allow the wings to be positioned as required, and the pylons to be moved into the relevant position.
