Those could fit in GB 17 Tim.

Nice buys Terry. Was very tempted last night as Squadron had a mystery deal on a brand new 1/48 Eduard 109E-3 Profipak for just 22 bucks. Tunred the other cheek though as shipping would have put it back in the 30's anyway.

Have any of yall tried Amazon for models. That's where I have been getting mine. They use several different hobby shops and I have gotten excellent service with little or no shipping charges. $25.00 and up is free shipping.

Will do Evan. I'm hoping to make a start in the next couple of weeks, once I've made headway on the commission build. My hands have been too stiff for modelling these last few weeks, which is very frustrating!

Hey Terry, we have a drug here in the US called Embrel that works wonders with arthritis. Just saying. Might be something to look into if you haven't. Sorry if I'm over stepping my bounds...

No problem Jim. I have been prescribed and am using a very expensive drug from the US. There were two possible drugs, one being the one you mentioned, but it was thought that would not work so well in my case. I'm using injection pens of the second one, called 'Humira'. It is, in a way, a 'wonder drug' - when i first started using it, just over 3 years ago, it was marvellous, but now I'm back to being restricted. However, without the drug, by now I'd probably be bent double and unable to use my hands at all, or walk even a few paces.
So, at least it's keeping things in check, to an extent. But if I were a horse - they'd shoot me!
This just arrived - I'm a happy bunny!

Very nice scores Keith, and good man Terry!

My latest goodies!

- 1 x Academy 1:72 P-40M/N
- 3 x Eduard 1:72 F4U-1 PE (designed for Academy kit)
- 1 x RS Models 1:72 Messerschmitt Bf 109X (trade with a modelling mate)

The Eduard PE is largely incorrect for the F4U-1, as the Academy kit itself is a modified Italeri F4U-4 (IMO, based on my F4U-5N), cockpit being the later floored type with later instrument panel.
Eduard have simply done same in metal...
As a result I will just be using the seats and various other details, so if anyone needs PE IPs for their Italeri F4U-4/-5N/-7, or Revell (Italeri) F4U-5, drop us a PM - got 4 of them!!!

That P-40 kit is very nice Evan. It was was one of my best looking 1/72 builds until my wife stepped on it. The only downside I saw in it was that the cockpit is a rather sparse if you pose the canopy open.

Cheers guys, and thanks Glenn re the P-40 comments. Really sorry to hear of that mishap with yours...

The kit is indeed very nice, save for a couple of things (the interior detail you mentioned, the u/c wells, and the movable canopy section), all fixable thankfully.
