I've been using them for twenty years. They've only gotten better. If I'm ordering paint I stock until the shipping goes up and than back off. There standard shipping rate US is like $9.95 or 8. I have two GWH 1/48 F-14's coming in and the ship UPS. Smaller orders will be stamp savers (UPS to USPS) but larger orders are UPS. They normally ship in three days and CS is super fast. If I order something one day and something else before it ships I just email and they can combine and will refund my shipping.
You would think a region as large as Houston would have more than one hobby shop for model kits. Michaels and Hobby Lobby don't really count. They hardly ever rotate stock.

They have been bleeding off over the decades. G&G seems to be the hold over. Their new space is more convenient than the old Rice Village area but at least they (as I understand it) owned that site. The new shop is rental and I never see anyone there when I am. We have a small but well stocked store in Katy called A-Z toy and hobbies. It started as a Gundum shop but they have a nice selection of aircraft and armor and a huge selection of paints from Tamiya, Vallejo, AK and Mr. Hobby as well as other top brands. Most all the tools and the prices are reasonable. Can I get it cheaper on line, sure but I gotta throw a bone out if I want to keep him around. We get together sometime and go check him out. Still a drive for you northern folks.
