Yep, I hope this second Dornier gets here too! Heaven knows where the other one has landed, but at least Karl got my money back, hence the purchase of the '88.
Been going through the kit parts (nice!), and although there are complete sprues of 'parts not for use', such as the 'A-1' type canopies (2 of them!), the rear section, opening hatch of the underside gondola is not included ! No problem though, as I can mould one, along with the under-wing bomb pylons.

That's the part, but it's not included. The front section, with the bomb sight window is there, and the two gondola halves, but not the rear section hinged hatch. But, I'v found a complete gondola on the Falcon vac-form set I have, so I can cut the rear section off and use that.
Strange that so many 'spare' parts are included, on full sprues, but not that one part! No problem though.

I finally got it !
The first order for the Do17Z was dispatched on 8 November, but as it never arrived, I guess it was caught by flak as it crossed the British coast!
This one was again ordered off e-bay in the 'States, by Karl on my behalf, and arrived safely yesterday, although I was out, and had to collect it from the P.O. today. So at last I now have the 'full set' of Luftwaffe aircraft for my BoB collection - just need to find a Defiant and Blenheim (Classic Airframes) at realistic prices now!

It'll be some time before I start on it I think, but I'm happy to say that the contents of the box are more inspirational than the box art work!
Apart from the instruction sheet (which is about as useful as a chocolate tea pot), the kit is nowhere near as bad as some past reviews make out. A bit of extra work and some scratch-built detail, maybe the odd resin part, and the Falcon-Vax canopy and nose set, and it should look the biz.
And as Karl pointed out, I also managed to grab a very nice Ju88 kit, for conversion to the A-1.
Me is a happy bunny - hoppity, hop !!

Darned right, that's roughly £152 ! They were around £34 in the UK when last available, only about 2 years ago, if I recall correctly. Last one I saw on e-bay in the UK, some months ago, was around £70 I think. At the original price, I'd be moderately happy, but at 'silly prices', forget it!
I'm wondering if the Blenheim series of kits are scheduled for re-release, as Barracuda have just released a set of resin wheels for them (kit wheels are way under-size, and very inaccurate.)

I looked it up on the sold listings and most have gone from between $60 and $120. I also looked at the bidding for that one that one that went for $247 and it was a couple of dopes with more money than brains fighting over it. 17 bids just between the two of them, not counting automatic bids.
