I find that a lot of kits have a decent price only to get tagged with a whopping great shipping cost. Why is it, I can get a 1/48 Ventura form Korea shipped for under 11$, yet a Spitfire from the U.S. is over 34$. I've even seen two identical kits, one above the other, same price, same country, and there was over a 20$ difference in shipping.

Good catch Geo, and I agree about the silly price differentials. It really p*sses me off when sellers sell kits at inflated prices, knowing that a 'collector' will buy it at the silly price, when people like us want the kit to build it, not sit in its box on a shelf, just so someone can say 'I have that in my collection' !
Effin moronic hoarders!
I'd have a dab at that Blenheim Mk1 and the Defiant, if I could get e-bay to work! I can never get access, even though I've checked and confirmed my pass word!
Mind you, silly prices are right out!

XF-12 Rainbow? For the next group build? That would be so cool! That is one of the slickest recon planes ever made (along with Howard Hughes's XF-11). Please let's see some pictures!

Thanks for the peek Jim. I looked up a review on it last night and it looks like an interesting build. Lots of work and lots of weight needed in the nose. One thing that was mentioned was that the spinners had holes for 3 prop blades instead of 4 so they would have to be filled and re-drilled, but that it was supposed to be corrected so you may have the right spinners.
