nice Wayne, so that Seafire kit has all the parts for a F 24 in it then ?

Karl, if I may interject, Airfix makes one kit as a 22/24 and another, as Wayne has, as a 46/47. I've built both and the are very nice kits. Nice pick-ups, gentlemen. These arrived while I was in camp.

The first will be done in SEAC markings and it belonged to this RCAF pilot in 123sqn. The story was posted here, I copied it and now it is forever lost on the laptop. He was a POW I believe. If anyone has recalls the story or has any info on the aircraft, I would appreciate it.

The next will be a British marked Bf 108.

The last is for my ever expanding RCAF armada.

Came home to....

1/48 Monogram Spitfire Mk II
1/48 Monogram F-86
1/48 Monogram P-61 Black Widow
1/48 Smer Supermarine Walrus
1/48 Henschel Hs-123
1/48 Italeri Spitfire MkV
15 various paint colors in Vallejo Model Air

....too tired for pictures.

Cool! Tempted to get the Tu-16, Tu-22M2 and the Tu-95, so far one has been strong!
Space and other factors!

Got a pre-made VEB Plastikart 1:144 Tu-95 in need of some love and 2 engines Jan if you want it. Ex- a mate's attic, just needs 2 engine and prop casts to replace the missing items. Look good hanging from the ceiling!

Good scores H!

Some nice buys there chaps! I keep saying I'll get a Bf108 ... one of these days!
Karl, King Kit have a couple of Spit 22/24s, both 'standard' and the 'pro' kit version. I might get another, and a Mk19 to make into a Mk21.

yep had a look last night, just to see how easy it was to get one, the seafire 47 is a few quid cheaper though !
might get one when new jobs wages kick in.

Building that as we speak Ozhawk in the Group Build #18. It is one of the nicest fitting kits I've put together with only minor issues. These being the bomb bay doors in the closed position. They will fit together nicely if you glue them little by little. And for me, the worst is that the side windows, radome, window under the nose, landing lights, and recognition lights have to be glued in before the halves are joined. I managed to pop out the radome and loosen a side window due to a lot of handling during painting. These are being dealt with but are a small hassle.

Got these decals yesterday for my "Captured Aircraft" theme. I have the Zero and the George already. Does anyone have any thoughts on the Arii 1/48 Oscar? Tracking one right now. As for the Nick, that may take a while. If you pop in Wayne, what the deuce is cowling color(circled in yellow)? I always thought the cowling was painted in a bluish black.

I'm watching your build with great interest Geo.

I'm thinking of doing this example, the Reluctant Dragon, and decals are available!
