they definitely did an amazing job of the Blu Ray releases. my favorite episode has always been "Relics" where Scotty comes back and recreated the original Enterprise Bridge on the holodeck.

I scores these precious gems at my first swap meet. I asked the guy if he had any aviation or airline memorabilia. he showed me these, and I took 'em all for 3 bucks each. I was sold when he mentioned TWA before he showed me. TWTW « Fly the Branded Skies this website helped me identify what time period these pilot wings were from. the TWA was early 1990s, the Delta was mid 1980s, the United was mid 1970s, and the American was early 1980s

Just picked this one up from my local Hobbycraft. £17.99 so not a bad price. I know it's the old Matchbox kit and I gather it can be quite a pig to build, but it might be a good challenge over the coming winter months.

Good stuff guys.
Vaughan, the Spit is a pig to build, and some of the parts are very 'chunky', but, with care and attention, and maybe some scratch-building or, for example, a resin seat, it makes into a nice model. I used one for the basis of a Spit XIV a couple of years back, with the 'remains' still to be finished as a 'fire dump' subject.

I was just thinking how cool it would have been to buy one of these US Navy single seat seaplanes after the war and use it as a cool little fly-about!
