well, my recent purchase was just primer and clear parts glue, but it almost included the MPC General Lee kit. However, the kit lacked the Confederate Flag on top of the General. and I looked it up on Round 2 Models' website, and the kit was released in 2009, so I opted not to get it

Nice one Karl. I guess I'll have to order the same decals and kit ............. yeah, I know "No More Kits" has gone out the window !

Yep, I picked up one for a good price at a swap last year. It's the E-Wing Mark IX and I need to find a subject for it. Not keen on the post-war Israeli markings supplied with the kit and I tend to go for WW2 service machines.

Couldn't resist and picked up the Academy 1/48 F15 Strike Eagle Seymour Johnson edition. It appears to be the latest kit from Academy and has all the ordinance to load out an OEF Strike aircraft. Paid US$26 including shipping. Revell and Academy have been battling it out as to which is the best kit with Revell being the one to beat historically but Academy has been changing sprues(correcting parts) and adding parts with each new release. The only reviews I have seen are of their older strike Eagles and in those Revell is considered the better of the 2 kits (hasegawa makes a pretty good one too). I read one review on the kit that preceded this one and the reviewer said Revell has a real battle on their hands as the Academy kit is much improved. I don't think its still as accurate as the Revell kit but should build into a very good representation of a Strike Eagle.

The 4th FW is based at Seymour Johnson airbase. The 4th FW traces its roots back to the US 4th FG of the 8th Airforce.
