Nice buys chaps!
Well, when I was at Duxford, I bought - nothing !
Absolutely zilch, zero, nothing at all !!
Amazing !!!

[Crimea_River]

Also amazing was the fact that I visited Hannant's and spent a grand total of ..... wait for it ....... £2.50 for a Quickboost resin set of Bf-109 pitot tubes!

Those decals look great Wayne. I really like how Aviaeology research their topics and provide loads of pics and detail data with their decals. Russ Bannock is still with us and I had the honour of seeing him speak at the Mosquito veterans' reunion 2 years ago. Well into his 90's, he looked very fit and his mind was lucid.

I reckon you got to Hannant's on Collindale at 2 minutes before closing time - no other reason for such a small purchase comes to mind !!!

What's wrong with you Guys, prime spending time and you left your wallets home..

While in Japan I was specifically after 2 kits that were limited release and all but impossible to obtain...

The first one I found in Kure at Malta Hobbies next to the train station on the way to the Yamato museum.

The Tamiya release of the Eternal Zero packaging of their A6M5 kit.

My recent buys... 1/72 scale Mig-21 stencils and navy TS-11 Iskra markings vol.3.

There's this little thing called "exchange rate". A £30 model at Hannants translates to $63 Canadian. Plus, I have to get it home without the airport baggage manglers smashing it to bits.

Ok, good points....your off the hook..

my excuse is my wife didnt give me enough pocket money for model kit purchases (she knows me too well)

My excuse is that the crowds were too big, and I .... er .... couldn't get close enough to the stalls, even at 08.15 hours. Honest !
Oh, b*gg*r, my nose has grown again ....................

[Crimea_River]

We can use your nose as a coat hanger now!
