Sounds like a great project Terry. Cory also knows that a nice CF-104 resides in his home town so when you get to that stage, maybe we can help with some detail pics if we can sweet talk the museum staff.

Great pic ! Some detail shots would be nice, but not essential - I'll probably concentrate more on the overall external finish. The different metals in the tail area are an important feature of the appearance, so anything along those lines would be welcome, plus any info on the correct ejection seat fitment, for the early 1960s period (the 'old' flag era).
I might even make a start on this now, to get me back into the swing of things, as I haven't done any modelling at all for some months new.

Hello,
I just received this one:

My idea is to make one of those birds that were given Italian co-belligerent aviation in 1944-45, so I need to find some Italian roundels and badges ...

I'll see what I can do Terry, if it isn't covered in snow...

Thanks Cory, but don't go 'out of your' way to get pics, only if it's convenient. I'll send you a PM about those decals too.

Nice work getting those Wimpies Jeff, and good scores on the Airacobras Alberto.

Picked up these, which arrived today.

Not out of the way at all Terry, 15-20 minute drive, and could always use an excuse to go. Yesterday would have been perfect to go, but unfortunately I didn't have the time. It was +9 at one point, and sunny. Today we're getting 5cm of snow...

And not a purchase yet, but for the upcoming jet group build, I'll be doing an RCAF Sabre. I've discovered a great decal set here.

F-86 Sabre RCAF Europe 1/48 scale model decal

I'd love to do the 444 Squadron aircraft (Cobra), but I have a perfectly good set of 439 (Tiger) decals sitting in the stash, that were free. I need to stop going on the internet...

Nice one Cory, and I've found a 'Walk around' page on the 'net, on the CF-104, which covers a lot of the details needed. If you are able to go, then pics of the tail area, showing the different metal shades, and the jet pipe (if it's still fitted) would be useful.

I have a Iwata, and if you don't have to do detail work...............................................it's great. But I needed one that I could do the camo on NSG9s Ju87s. And the Iwata...........................won't even come close. The Paasche, with the tips it came with will do from 1/32- 1 1/2 inches. I'm now set.
