I watched a documentary on HBO about 6 months ago about athletes and guns. While many of the athletes are thumping their chests, there are very real concerns for the safety of the players. Apparently, there are bad guys out there who are targeting athletes for their money. Teams are actually offering training on how to avoid the situations. This is apparently what happened w/ Sean Taylor.

Wasn't sean taylors murder an robbery gone wrong?

Of all places to get hit, it had to be a major artery, RIP sean, we miss you!!

Yes it was. My poorly made point was that bad guys are specifically targeting athletes because of their money. It is a shame when a 275 lb lineman has to hire bodyguards.

When you become successful you have to make some lifestyle changes. You just can't hang in the same places anymore, especially if they are full of angry, desperate people. I know one would want to flaunt their success in the area fromm which they came, but it is dangerous.
