I have decided on my colour scheme. Early war Coastal Command copying the scheme used by Supermarine Walrus. Sky grey undersurface, extra dark sea grey and dark slate grey top and sides. The hull planing surfaces will be aluminium but weathered with the addition of some grey.

First coat of sky grey. The planing surfaces have black primer ready for the aluminium.

In late 1939, a pair of Walruses were used at Lee-on-Solent for trials of ASV (Air to Surface Vessel) radar, the dipole aerials being mounted on the forward interplane struts.

I am going to make some ASV dipole aerials and mount them on the outer wings with a receiver aerial (or was it a transmitter aerial I am a bit vague) between the engines above the cockpit.

I have a couple of 250lb GP bombs in the spares box which I can sand the noses flat to look like AS bombs.

Damn just realised I have glued the undercarriage in place but didn't do the side windows first. That's going to be a pain in the jet pipe to sort.
