as for the update on the speedy D I got the painting finished and started on the decals i should have this beast done tonight tomorrow i will take some outside finished pictures.

Here is the update pictures for the night, I just completed all of the decals and the dive brakes, Looking like a Dauntless in her early markings all blue gray with light gray uindersides. I mixed my own blue gray instead of useing intermediate blue which was the color schedule early in 1942. I mixed up white black blue and green,

I've just bought 2 balsa large scale [1/24] kits myself that i plan to build in full detail ,any tips you might have Boats would be greatly received

thank you for your reply only tips I can suggest is get a good straight building board wax paper to keep the parts from sticking to the plans. Take your time and get some good reference material on hand for glueing I use tite bond it is a water based glue or you can use like everyone else use is cyandacrylate Jet. you get stumped I am here to help. thanks my man

That is some nice model and very original. What did you use to make the panels? Is that some sort of plastic or fabric?

I used cardstock material for paneling over the tissue. and the kit came with some vacuform panel parts as well, thanks Dear sir foir your reply on my Speedy D.
