This was the first of the newer generation of Tamiya kits that I built and I was extremely pleased with the quality of it. The parts just seemed to fall together, and I don't think I used any filler on it. The detail is great and the kit decals went on without a problem (I had heard bad things about Tamiya decals so was prepared for trouble that did not materialize)
This was one of the nicest building models I've assembled

Just noticed one of the gear doors is missing. I'll have to do something about that.

Nice one Glenn! I'm expecting to see a few of these in the next GB ! That's if it's not all Bf109s again !!!!

I believe I've had the pleasure of that kit
it was one of the last I built; did 610 Sqn's codes really creep that far forward? On DW@K the D impinged on the door but everything else was aft

Excellent Glenn!8)
I'm looking at getting a 1/48 Spit for the BoB build and this one looks a likely candidate now.:D
Cheers,
Tony.

Thanks everybody!

I thought I'd followed the instructions for the decal locations. I didn't have internet access at the time so thats all I had to go by. I'll have to dig them up and have a look.

Thanks, I'm building the same Tamiya kit right now for the Battle of Britain Group Build, but as an aircraft that's displayed in the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry, as it looked during the battle.
