Strange Airplanes from WWII

Body by Fisher: the XP-75 Eagle. "It was made up from sub-assemblies of other airplanes that were already in production. It used the tail of the Douglas SBD Dauntless, the wings of Curtiss P-40 Warhawk and the landing gear of the Vought F4U Corsair."

They shoulda consulted with Heinkel about the wisdom of combining two engines into one.

The Blackburn B20 has been my favourite odd-ball of recent years, and real teaser 'what if'

A300mph flying boat with a retractable hull. What's not to love about THAT concept?! ;)

Noirbruler, or Brulernoir might work (there should be an "accent" over the "u" in bruler ). And even the name is ugly !!!

Blackburn pretend to be British, but I'm sure they were really French ('Bruler Noir ? ), as many of their designs compete in ugliness with French inter-war designs !!!
You know that if they were called "Schwarzebrennen", their aircraft would have been world-beaters
