lol kids, I have none but they always say "2 minutes of pleasure for a lifetime of hell":p

TEENAGE GIRLS!
My DEEPEST and MOST SINCERE condolences. Don't mix-in - Look Away - Let your wife handle EVERYTHING - Look AWAY - Have NOTHING to say - LOOK AWAY - Add your $0.02 and you'll be Custer at the Last Stand - Have another beer and watch TV
You KNOW exactly WHY the Harvesters are there and now you'll know exactly why your wife's Father looked at you with such a Jaundiced eye.
Throwing yourself under the train won't slow it down one iota

Had kids late so will work until my shriveled corpse is removed from my cube.
Too late to help you now but in the words of my Sainted Grnadmother: "Wenn der Putz steht, fliegt der Geist!
I prefer my dogs. They grow up quicker, behave and listen better, housebreak sooner, can be neutered, AND in an emergency you can always eat the dog

Congratulations Joe. Hope your "retirement" is everything you hope for and very lengthy. My dad retired at 55 and enjoyed 20 years of non-work. I have 2 more years until 65 though I am collecting my Canadian pension already. I may work until 67 because I love my job
Thanks my friend! I think I'll still continue to work at something until I decide to draw Social Security. I'm at a point where I don't have much and don't need much so my life style is "lean and mean." Now the next key is to stay healthy!

Hi folks -

Well if all goes well I'll be "semi-retired" come August. Got offered a part time gig that pays almost what my full time job does now. This plus my drone work and flight instruction will more than make my ends meet. Hoping to have a super flexible schedule, no more "9 to 5" BS!!! My next step is making it to 65 (5 more years) then after that I won't even get out of bed unless I want to! Feeling very blessed theses days, just had to share!
Congrats FlyboyJ. You deserve it.

UPDATE! As of today officially "Semi-Retired"! Long story short - tried to work with my former employer, gave them a 60 day notice so they could find my replacement and have me train them. In the background they hired a new QA manager who turned out to be a royal a$$hole. On top of that I had one mechanic who continually sent condescending e mails about minor mistakes he thought I made in our computerized maintenance system to everyone in the company, to include the company president. Today I had enough! Walked out, told them to kiss my a$$!

Going to take a little time off and start working 20 hours a week. Doing drones and spending time with my daughters

Looking forward to new horizons!

UPDATE! Jumping back into the frey!

After 6 months of "semi-retirement" I decided to jump back into the game. Last Friday I accepted a full time position with Air Methods. Air Methods - Air Medical Transport I'll be working at their corporate offices as a maintenance planner. I could have hung on a few more years but was actually getting board and even frustrated with some of my "clients." As my cousin used to say, "I give you books, you eat the covers." As of right now my start date is January 6. Wish me luck! :)
