If I'm not mistaken, it was Round Table Pizza that marketed the ham/pineapple pizza as the "Hawaiian" in the late 80's and it stuck.
However, back in the late 50's, my Aunt Pam would have the guys at Me 'n Ed's pizza parlor (in Fullerton, SoCal) take pinapple from the salad bar and put it on her Canadian Bacon pizza at her request.
It was called "Pam's Special" and it caught on with the locals in Orange County over the years as simply a "ham and pinapple" pizza at other Pizza places in the area.
Not sure who was the first to market it, but the "Hawaiian" concept is not original and I'm sure Aunt Pam was not the first to do it.
According to Wiki, invented by Sam Panopoulos, in Ontario Canada, in '62.Pizza Hawaii was huge in Germany going back decades. As long as I can remember.
Just looked it up. 1957 to be exact. But apparently it was invented in Canada.

Obviously a man of fine tastes with a refined palette.I'll take a triple pepperoni with xtra cheese and some pineapple......
BTW, the pineapple flavors mix with the pepperoni and can enhance the taste.
Follow it all up a little later with a nice gunpowder tea while comfortably settling into the recliner.....

Yeah, but I got the pepperoni.....

Black Rifle's coffee is f**king excellent.Put in an order tonight for Black Rifle Coffee Co's espresso beans, will report back on arrival and brewing.
Black Rifle's coffee is f**king excellent.
You will not be disappointed.
I bought some Black Rifle a while back. Thought it solid and very good, but not earth shattering.
I much prefer my Green World coffee I order from Hawaii.
Obviously it's a personal taste thing though. To each their own.
When it comes to both beer and coffee, I like different flavors, and I like exploring different approaches.
I have an old Hamilton Beach hot air popcorn popper that I used to roast coffee beans with, but now days, I just get the pre-ground dark roast ready to go.
I guess I'm getting lazy in my old age...![]()
