I have not tried In-n-Out, but I imagine its the same.

It is. Unless the patty is made fresh at the time of order, and the trimmings are cut fresh daily, a burger is a burger is a burger. InO is no different. Lots of people love it because of the mystique of the secret ordering, but I didn't think it was good enough to bother learning clubhouse-password crap.

My favorite burger was from the Habit, a California chain that grew into a fairly big company that's now owned by the Pepsi/Taco Bell conglomerate. Their bacon charburger was incredibly good. Last time I ate there was 2015, when I returned for my son's graduation, so I don't know if the corporatization has affected the food.

And none of that is better than the burgers off my grill.
