I figured once I posted my iconic canine avatar (to the left, bedecked in suitable pilot garb, wings & empennage) Someone would make sure the dream was realized... Now, I am awaiting with baited breath, the very first actual dog-fight.

Too true... But then Naval Flight Officers used to say that one could never pack enough bananas to keep the pilots happy.

If this is the only thing I see heading to the cockpit on any aircraft I am on, I...am...outta there.

Well, well, been around so long I've got moss on my north-side. So look-in back I've done seen some strange stuff.
I seen a peanut stand. And heard a rubber band. I've seen a needle with an eye
But when it comes to fly-in well, I've seen a horse fly.
Ah, I've seen a dragon fly.
    I've seen a house fly.
    I've seen a crane fly
    I've seen a drain fly
    I've seen a deer fly
    I've seen a horn fly
    I've seen a flower fly
    I've seen a robber fly
    I've seen a face fly
BUT I ain't never seen no dog fly!
