Toss up of this thread or what annoyed you, partial solar eclipse and it's steady rain here.

Never even noticed the eclipse but things have finally cooled down. Sunny high 77 low 58

Skies were clear here this morning until a half hour before the eclipse, then at 8:30 a.m., they rolled in.
Now, three hours later, it's partially overcast, expected to be clear this afternoon.

This seems to happen every single time there's a celestial event: Lunar Eclipses, Solar Eclipses, Comets, Meteor Showers and so on...

I enjoy sky watching myself. Whenever there's a highly anticipated event, conjunction, comet, ISS flyby, meteor shower, it's always overcast. Not the good aluminum overcast either.

Steady rain and 10C. Still dark out, due to the low cloud. Am actually enjoying it: we don't get a lot of precipitation here, plus it's only supposed to last until mid-morning. If temperaturs were seasonal (2-3C at this time of day), I'd expect to see the first snow. But instead I'm hoping to get out on the bike after work

Cold weather definitely helps but not enough snow this time around. Just checked the BC Wildfire app and another fire started yesterday
