We're supposed to get more than a 40 degree drop in temp today....

Nothing like an old-fashioned Blue Norther.

Missed us completely. The barren ground is getting freeze dried with the bit of snow we got before the holidays completely gone. Lakes are like skating rinks with 0 snow cover, but a good foot of ice.
Current temp 6F and clear.

Snowing here today, and it's around 4 inches deep so far (10cm). It's the "wet" stuff beneath the top layer, and getting to the local shop on my mobility scooter was a challenge - lost traction in the deeper parts, so had to drive on the road.
Got really p*ssed off when I eventually reached the shop, as it was closed !!
Temp forecast for tonight is -8C, so probably stuck due to ice tomorrow - b*ll*cks !!

Might make it above freezing today, but wouldn't bet on it. Supposed to start getting sleet and cloud crap tomorrow night thru Friday mid morning. Weather guessers are saying up to 6" possible near me, but with .1" or better of ice to go with it.....Ugh...Last time it did something like this, it took me 5 hours to get home from work and that was leaving at my lunch time. 5 hours to do 36 miles and had to do all of it by back roads due to massive problems on the interstate, even though it was 3 am.
