I like the detail with the wall clock - it's in the same position, because there is an electrical line there. The satellite dish is the only difference between then and now...
Notice how the name place board still is the same.Actually the clock (if it is the same clock) moved from one side of the center door to the other. But I understand what you are saying, it has changed very little in 70+ years!
I'm not quite sure I understand you: the clock is on the RH side of the middle door in both photos. The sign with the name is hanging over the middle door then and now - check the stucco corners on both sides of the sign.Actually the clock (if it is the same clock) moved from one side of the center door to the other. French. I do like that country. Why change if it works well.I'm not quite sure I understand you: the clock is on the RH side of the middle door in both photos. The sign with the name is hanging over the middle door then and now - check the stucco corners on both sides of the sign.
The clock is not the same, but in the same place.
Not only France is like this - in small (or big!) towns all over Europe you can find the same picture. I remember being in Portugal in 2001 and taking a train from Lisbon to Estoril (the casino town). The station there was like from a 1930s movie. I'm not sure if it's still the same now.French.
