Hi people, so an out the box build, with just a little mod to open up the hump, otherwize a stright foreward job......but then came the camo....the model is all brush painted so took a few days to paint needless to say. Yes it's clean as I'm not good at weathering and when I used Humbrol matt varnish on other builds now that they are old the varnish has a yellow tint to it, so I'm leaving it alone for now. Hope you like.
ohhh and the decals were a nightmare as they would not peel from the backing, theres only 10 of them and 6 gave me trouble but all was fine in the end, I elected to have the codes on the white panel because TBH you could not see them on the camo otherwise. So not bothered that it's wrong like that.
Found me a hot sunny airstrip

nicely done. Can I ask about the processes you used to apply your camo scheme. I have a MAVAG Heja to finish with a similar mottled scheme to apply and never having done one and eager for any tips I can derive.....

Thanks for your comments people

Hi parsifal,

I guess these count as a sort of work in progress, but I just wanted to record the build with the painting and the build up of the camo and in the early stages how I was still going with a closed up hump but I'm very pleased I modded and opened it up

So... How did you get the trim lines around the colors so even?

That Marchetti was one strange aircraft. Like "all birds are aerodynamic" I guess so are all airplanes. But that one sure looks ungainly.

Nice job on the model.

So on display up in the spare room

To make my display a little more interesting, found myself a cart that was ideal for the torpedo
