While the photos do show damage to the Corsair, it doesn't look that bad (what we could see) - and considering the prodigious feats of "restoration" (often approaching fabrication of a whole new airframe) that are done regularly in the warbird community, I see no reason to doubt the statement in the article (money being the only thing in the way).
Paul Tremblay, the chief mechanic at Vintage Wings of Canada, the historical society that keeps and showcases a number of former warplanes at the airport, said he's sure that "we'll definitely be able to get it going again."
