For those interested, I'd like to share the article on my warbird art that appeared in one of the premier warbird magazines, Warbird Digest, Volume #25 March/April 2009. Todd Earney, the Art Director at Warbird Digest did a great job in the layout of the article. Ann Lawrence did the great write up. The imagery, yours truly.

Nice article. I am in the current issue for the T-34 Gathering in Palm Springs, photos and article are all mine. It's a nice maghazine and they do a great job on their layouts.

Very nice work.

A note - Gabby almost flunked his Army flight school when the PT-17 and an obnoxious civilian instructor intimidated him. He barely passed his Army flight instructor check ride and the rest was history - also it was 1940 for this traumatic experience. He graduated Primary in November 1940

Gabby was 41-B and my father was 41-A graduating class and both young Colonels in same class at Air War College at Maxwell AFB in 1955.

As far as another "Polish connection", my father led the Fighter Escort for Frantic VII Shuttle Mission drop of supplies to Polish Underground while Soviet forces waited on the river for the SS to finish off the uprising... September 18, 1944
