These show the few simple enhancements/additions made to the kit ...

The stretched sprue Antenna, canopy spring assembly, the fuel drain outlet and Aerial, The Pitot tube (2 sizes of Brass tubing) and the photo-etch seat belts.

Great shots Wayne!

I realise you attach all the 'vunerable' pieces after you apply the decals but is there anything you use to hold the plane when say you have a hard area on the model to get to?

Ok downsizing somewhat........to 1/144 scale.

Saw this one and thought I would give it a go, it is/was a Dragon release titled 'F-14 on carrier Deck'.

I Built this in early 2001, it was entered in the Small scale categories at the Melbourne Expo and Adelaide Competition, scoring First Place at both events.

Still love it!

Wayne you are awesome, my friend.

One last question about your Bf-109... did you use a hypodermic needle for the pitot probe? Surely you didn't drill that.

And the F-14D in 1/144th is spectacular. Couple of questions for you. Do you wish you had any "mulligans" with respect to your deck handlers and equipment now that you have had 7 years to reflect carrier operations, hand signaling, etc?

I want some closeups. For 1/144th I am amazed at the deckhandler and equipment paintjobs. Just wonderful.

The Pitot tube is made up of 2 sizes of fine Brass rod, one inside the other.

I assume you mean possible errors in the positions or signaling poses?

I will do some close up shots as requested.
