Possibly the cheap paint can be removed without damaging the long cured quality paint underneath.

You may be right. Trying a high pressure cleaner on its lowest pressure and laying almost flat against the surface and slowly increasing pressure if needed may well lift any paint on dirty surfaces.

Placing a sign in front like below would deflate their egos.

By painting the tank pink these people were wishing that the 6 Jun 1944 invasion never occurred and France suffered under the Nazi yoke until the whole country was enslaved.

We encourage these vandals to think, if thinking is within their limited brain power.

Came out of my LMS with a few rescues from the Shelf of Doom to find a police officer sniffing around my car. I was not there long enough to exceed the 30 minute parking limit, so I asked: May I help you, ma'am?
She said is this your car?
Yes.
Sorry. I backed into it.

Not major damage, but I just bought it last October. Now I will have to deal with getting it fixed and the insurance run around.

Price the repair first because you may find that the access covers the cost if you or the officer pays for it. That way your "record" and no claim bonus are protected.

No, but every on-duty officer showed up at the scene to point and laugh.

Yesterday I decided to go flying right after sunrise. But I have these plastic packing material pieces I stuff in the side windows to keep them secured in the UP position. This has been necessary since about forever but the new window welts that replaced the older backwards-installed ones are plastic and might just as well be made out of Teflon. The windows will slide all the way down with little or no urging, doing so with a speed that would be suitable for an ejection seat system.

Bot while I secured the Right window properly before starting the engine, the weather was so delightful I decided to leave the Left window in the Down position until just before takeoff, the plastic "stopper" for it left sitting atop the instrument panel. The result was that during the usual preflight engine run-up, the stopper was blown out the window. I had to go taxi back to the hangar and grab another one.

So, in the future, secure both side windows prior to engine start and also keep spare "stoppers" in the baggage compartment behind the seat. Dumb lesson to have to learn.

Having been at the Tin Tent in Norfolk for just over 2 weeks, I returned yesterday evening to find 559 emails and 140 junk mail messages on my PC !
(I hadn't connected my lap top to the 'net whilst away, and at present I'm unable to access my hotmail [Outlook] account on my 'phone).
Deleting the tiresome junk mail was an easy "empty folder" exercise, but it's just taken me well over an hour to check and individually delete the 559 emails.
That's an hour and more of my life I won't get back !!

I like my induction hotplate most of the time but its tendency to go from the selected setting to maximum power when you move a pot or a pan really gives me the irrates.

This morning this demonstrated why the original Geneva Convention had so many pages prohibiting the use of burnt butter as a weapon of war. We immediately abandoned home and went to the market for breakfast leaving the fans on and all the doors and windows open*. When we got home the stench was still pungent. Even now, three hours later, it is unpleasant and I am washing curtains.

* We have two black dogs, each weighing over 70kg, that like to sneak up behind visitors and head butt them on the hips then look up with their brown eyes and say I am hungry so we do not have to worry about god botherers, sales persons, or other unwanted visitors. They even unnerve people who know them.

This may have already been mentioned somewhere here. #1 daughter saw a series called, "World War II with Tom Hanks" so the wife and I started watching tonight on the History Channel. After the first 15-20 minutes or so it seemed to me to be pretty compressed when it came to events which I thought odd as it is 20 episodes long. I never mentioned this to the missus as she likes these kinds of shows. We now get to Dunkirk or Dunkerque if you will. Goering has just convinced Hitler that his Luftwaffe alone can win this battle. So far, so good. And on comes the Luftwaffe and the first aircraft to make a strafing run is an Fw 190D
