Looking at a complete bathroom remodel. Talked with several contractors, settled on a project concept, compared bids, decided to go with the "premium" tile finish vs acrylic shower surround and LVP floor. So it's going to cost almost as much as my first house for a 5x7 space. We sign the contract, the designer leaves, and the wife says "I don't know..."

Well, our streets are flooded again and this morning once again I found myself in my 4X4 truck, creeping along through the water at about 10MPH, (which is twice the posted "No wake 5MPH" signs) and no more than 10 ft behind me was a woman in a big pickup, enraged at how slow I was going. And at one point I had to stop entirely because ANOTHER woman coming from the opposite direction insisted on driving in the middle of the road, rather than just on her side. I sat there and hoped when she got closer to me that she would swerve over to her side and she did so, at the last moment.
Then when we got up to the red traffic light after observing the 30MPH speed limit I did something that the woman driving behind me found absolutely unforgivable. I stopped 1 car length behind car in front of me, rather that plowing that car and the one in front out of the way. She screamed at me as she passed by after we turned onto the highway.
