It's wise to be optimistic because in September I start going to UWM to start working on my bilingual add-on to my regular license. But I don't want to think of that horrible headache coming up.

It is my first language I refused to speak as growing up. My mom always spoke to me in it and it just stayed in my brain somewhere. It was difficult getting back into the habit of speaking it.
I grew up in Southern California and learned Spanish as a result.

I haven't used it regularly in years, but when I was in Italy, it sure came in handy.

It's a great help it's related to French and Italian. I haven't heard any Romanian, but it must be close since they all come from the same Latin family.

Put in 5 hours at work this morning, then went over the river and through the woods to Grandmother's house to do some more junk culling. Came home with a van load that needs to be sorted and hauled off to various consignment and thrift stores. Accompanying my Beautiful Wife to the theater tonight.

Took the day off to have the car worked on again. The faulty sensor was replaced but the codes are still showing the engine is to lean. Now they want to replace the fuel injectors. I'm waiting for the estimate. This afternoon I went to the dealer to have free recall work done. They wanted $186 to troubleshoot the car. That is a no. I am hoping the injectors replacement will correct the problem.

Spent most of the day at my wife's parents' house gathering all the stuff from the outbuildings into the pole barn.
Its amazing the stuff they collected over 50+ years. It was very emotional for my wife as she cleaned out cupboards and shelves. So many items triggered memories and reminded her of her loss.

Sorry to hear that.

It's hard to sort through another's belongings, things that held special meanings or were intended for a future project that never happened.

This is the hazard of growing old, I suppose, and as I look around at my stuff, I wonder how those in the future will deal with all I have.

Waiting to see is wife gets to leave the hospital today. It seems that all her digestion issues the past few years was cause by her not getting the hernia repaired. Surgery yesterday was smooth and they found no damage due to not having the repair earlier. Cat smack down below.

Just back from skijoring with the new husky. Near-perfect conditions (which sadly, won't last long...) out there. We are now both trashed ... lol. She's still wearing her pulling harness, as she's too tired to stand. She's earned a long nap, she did really well

I was looking at Module 2 for the coursework and saw four items. WTH! Did one Monday. Did one Tuesday. And did another one today. That just leaves the 2 hour paper for Saturday.
