Just got in from a quick 2 1/2 hours on the bike. Now it's time to tackle the lawn ... though the new husky is doing a good job of turning the back lawn into an arid, pee-soaked wasteland .... so it won't take long to mow :)

Winding down for the day. Spent a bunch of time yesterday getting the new tires on the van and then having the ac serviced. That will make the wife and boys happy. Went to the library today and spent a couple of hours on the microfilm scanner. Got the drawing index for the AT scanned and one particular drawing I needed for sourcing some materials. Going to be a big help being able to scan as needed locally, and even better at no charge.

Spent the entire weekend working at the estate. 90% cleared. Unfortunately it's all just packed into storage. We still need to figure out what can be sold and for how much, and what just needs to go to a landfill.

Back to work after nearly a week in the north woods of Minnesota. Did some fishing, did some drinking (not too much), did some spending time with friends I only see a couple times a year, and spent some time all alone in the shack I deer hunt from in the fall. Sometimes it's just nice to be all alone in the peace and quiet.

I spent the last 2 days assembling the new extra long, extra tall car lift, so the Police car can come home and be garaged later this year. I never want to do that by myself again! Now I just have to lift it to put some rubber sheet under the 4 posts so it does not pull up the floor coating if I ever decide to move it. Now to get back at resurrecting my fathers old 1978 Catalina Wagon.

I'm kind of jealous because I'd like to have a lift, too.

Problem for me, though, is I need to be able to move my cars about while doing bodywork and other things and a lift would restrict me to just a certain area.

Downloading the wife's email to my machine so that I can clean it up for her and set up a bunch filter rules. Been downloading since about 9:20 this morning and it looks like at least two more hours to get it all done. Then time to set the rules and filter.Once it's all done, should make things way easier for her.

Dealing with her email is like playing whack-a-mole.... Get everything supposedly downloaded, set up a new rule and run it, and the software suddenly finds hundred to thousands of email bodies that it hasn't downloaded yet... 🤬
