Originally a chart hit in 1968 peaking at No.1 spending 20 weeks on chart then UK hit again in 1973 peaked at No.2, 15 weeks on chart .

The composer, Peter Green, died overnight aged 73 from the results of long term drug abuse. Other compositions from him include Black Magic Woman which Santana made famous.
