What am i listening to? NOTHING!! My ancient iPod appears to have gone to iPod heaven (or hell....). Fortunately, all my music is on my laptop. Am gonna try a full restore ... wish me luck!!

The phone is my Plan B. I've liked to keep the music on a dedicated device, because I listen to music when working out, and have been known to drop/sweat on/accidentally kick across the floor the poor old iPod....
