What is, makes, a proper sportscar?

Not maybe a sportscar per se, but, those Mini Cooper S or SS, must have been like gokarts in the corners!

They still are a benchmark for handling. New or old models.

The new are just.....ugly, they look like they've been fattened up before slaughter! *shiver*

I had the supercharged S for 14 months. Beauty? well, I could forgive that listening to the supercharger whine at full chat

The rare 970 S is a belter if you can find a genuine one.

Triumph Spitfire Mk. I or II, would be a nice start... 8)

Not with that traverse rear spring and camber Jan...

Maybe with some upgrades for the roadhandling.....

Not worth it. The positive camber is all wrong. Triumph made it sort of negative camber with later models but the ill handling on the limit remained, Bit like the aircooled Beetles swing axle.
Ok if you don't press too hard

A Sprite or Midget will go and handle well.
