Pretty good show. I liked the flippant attitude they had about their so-called superior officers, which were deserved in their case. It's kind of like that movie "The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare". Both worth watching.
The only issue I have is the fictional elements they put in both. Why do this when the reality was just as fascinating?

A Complete Unknown. The early days of Bob Dylan. Great musician, not so great human being. I also watched 12'oclock High on YT. I tried to watch this from several viewpoints. What it meant to the post WWII populace and some defense of precision daylight bombing. A major point was the enormous stress the aircrew was under and how it affected them and how it was delt with. And lastly, so much smoking and how many butts must have been scattered around. I was under the impression that a clean base would be a point of the military. I wonder if the civilian segment of production just did what civilians have always done and throw them anywhere. Any vets with any input on how smoking was/is handled on base?

That's what they call the at of filmmaking. Drama drama drama. Gotta have it to sell it on their eyes. Sex it up, make it more rebellious, that sells it on their view. Can't simply tell the facts. Too boring. They would then feel like they were simply doing a documentary. Those don't get the d same ratings.
