Got the word last night he's being held over for vascular surgery today. Apparently during some testing, found a blood clot or some other blockage in either a vein or artery in his neck. He'll be out at least two weeks after the surgery now. Hoping this will open his way stubborn eyes and let him see that he's about to kill himself trying to work all the overtime he can since just getting back from cardiac surgery.

Learned that my neighbor passed away yesterday.

Wife is still in the hospital. Went in to the ER Friday afternoon, having a big asthma problem. Lots of albuterol and ipratropium that night and throughout yesterday. Steriods and antibiotics and other meds to try and calm things down. Dr was hoping to send her home today, but electronic status board in her room says Tuesday. Has wrecked my sleeping, as she is normally up to monitor if our disable son needs something, when I'm sleeping and at work. The youngest helps monitor usually from about 2 am til late morning, but his schedule has be wacked too by this.

FYI...our household runs 24/7, with only rare instances when all 4 of us are asleep at the same time.

Word is now, that they are going to cut her loose at 1300 local....Yea! Get her home, do a grocery order and try and flop for a few hours before work tonight.

Sad and happy. My eldest son Robin is flying out to Finland today. He'll stay there for 4 months for his studies. It's bitter sweet. Happy for him to go on a great adventure, but sad because him being a child is now definitely over.
