Well, I hope that people don't use this thread to bellyache about their local sports team's latest failure. The "what annoyed you" thread is sufficient for that.
But, here people can express their grief about their personal loss. Adler's case is a perfect example. Losing three close relatives/friend in a matter of days is heart-wrenching.

Not sure why, but in my realm, the majority of family or friend losses have occurred between December and February.
Joe's passing happens to fall between my Stepdad's date of passing and my Dad's.

That is born out by looking at death rates. Higher in winter months, lower in summer months.
