Spritzing done....for the most part. A couple rookie mistakes. Anyone that's used Oramask film knows that it isn't very bendy so I use little bits of hold down tape until I'm ready to spray. When I'm ready to spray, I'll remove the lil bits of tape, press the Oramask down and spray. A few touch-ups, not big deal. The roundel will cover up the lack of Dk. Green on the left wing. I was getting really bored with masking by this point. I let this set and then do the yellow leading edge stripes in a day or so; backwards, yes but easier for me to mask this way
Thanks all. Leading edges have been spritz with my yellowy/slightly red mix. A few months ago I pre-mixed full Tamiya 10ml bottle full of this. Should save mixing for a while
I also shot the prop tips with this and after the Canucks disappoint me once again, I'll fix my Dk. Green boo boos
Deecals have started. As per Andy's build, I started with the wing-tip walkway line to ensure everything else lined up. What attracted me to this aircraft is the caption said it had late war roundels on the upper wings....so be it
Not sure what Airfix's thoughts were but for some reason they neglected to mark out wing tips lights so I used one of my Mk.Vs for measurements and painted them on
Geo, I've had a look at a number of photos of the Mk.XII, and it seems it didn't have wing tip nav lights.
The wing tip fairings were, I believe, wooden, which may account for this.
